These terms apply to orders placed with The Cake Cove, a home-based bakery operating in Chatham.

Submitting an enquiry does not confirm an order. An order is only confirmed once The Cake Cove has confirmed availability, agreed the design and price, and received any required deposit or payment.

Celebration cakes are priced individually based on factors including size, flavour, design, decoration, ingredients and complexity.

Quotes are valid for [7] days unless otherwise stated. Prices may change from time to time, but the agreed price for a confirmed order will not change unless the order itself changes.

A deposit of 50% be required to secure custom or larger orders.

The balance must be paid 7 days before collection.

Orders may not be released until payment has been received in full.

Requests to change an order must be made as early as possible. Changes may not be possible once ingredients, decorations or preparation have started. Any change may affect the final price.

Because many items are freshly prepared, personalised or made to order, cancellation and refund arrangements depend on how much notice is given and whether work or purchasing has already started.

Deposits may be non-refundable where they reflect time spent, ingredients bought, design work or other costs already incurred.

If you need to cancel, please contact The Cake Cove as soon as possible. We will explain what refund, if any, can reasonably be offered based on the circumstances.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights where goods are faulty, not as described or otherwise fail to meet legal requirements.

Collection dates and times will be agreed in advance. Please arrive within the agreed collection window where possible.

Once an order has been collected, responsibility for safe transport, storage and handling passes to the customer.

Cakes are handmade. While every effort is made to match agreed designs and inspiration images, small variations in colour, finish, decoration and presentation can occur.

Customers must tell us about any known allergies or dietary requirements before an order is confirmed.

Our products are prepared in a kitchen where common allergens are present. We cannot guarantee any product is entirely free from allergen traces.

If there is an issue with an order, please contact us as soon as possible and provide clear details, including photographs where relevant. We will aim to respond fairly and promptly.

The Cake Cove will take reasonable care in preparing and supplying orders. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
